　　方谨昌（万梓良 饰）自由成长在穷苦的家庭之中，但心存高远志向的他并没有因为自己的出生卑微就自暴自弃。成年之后，方谨昌经过不懈努力，终于达成了自己的理想，获得了晋升成为了警督。与此同时，他与女友谢月明（刘嘉玲 饰）也即将踏入婚姻的殿堂。
