　　King, a trafficked lion cub, escapes from the airport in mid-transit and finds shelter in the home of Inès and Alex, 12 and 15. The siblings come up with a crazy scheme: to bring King back to Africa. Unfortunately, the customs agents on their tail don't make their mission easier. But soon, Max, the kooky grandfather they've only met twice before, joins their adventure... and from then on, the sky's the limit.

　　吕柔（容祖儿 饰）在度假村开设了一间宠物店，继而认识了经营烧烤场的黄兴贵（刘青云 饰）。阿贵脸上有一道奇怪的胎记，口上说不介意，但其实一直耿耿于怀因为这块胎记令自己失去了很多恋爱的机会，更令别人觉得他是坏人。小柔一直寻觅初恋情人阿Tim，阿贵积极相助。几经辛苦小柔找到了阿Tim，可是此时阿Tim已经有了女朋友，伤心不已的小柔一蹶不振，无心工作。幸好阿贵不断鼓励小柔，让她寄情于工作，期间二人情愫渐生。

　　港生（王祖贤 饰）从大陆偷渡至香港，一路颠簸还被蛇头欺辱，搏斗过程中将蛇头打伤才逃脱出来，但外面的世界同样令她感到陌生惶恐。她起初预备投靠自己的姨妈，却遭到姨妈拒绝且冷言讽刺港生，而姨父则垂涎其美色，港生只得离开姨妈家再次流落街头。督查何定邦（周润发 饰）和祥仁（吕方 饰）追捕白粉雄，白粉雄驾车冲出街道撞倒了路边的港生。港生在医院苏醒以后害怕身份败露被送回大陆，灵机一动谎称自己脑部受伤得了失忆症，还“认准”何定邦就是其丈夫伟雄。心性善良的定邦只得将港生接回家中暂住，二人关系日渐改变，但港生“偷渡客”的身份却像两人关系中的定时炸弹时时刻刻存在着……

　　During a cross-country lecture tour, notoriously acerbic radio personality Sheridan Whiteside slips on the icy steps of the house of the Stanleys, a prominent Ohio family, and is forced to recuperate in their home during the Christmas holidays. 　　Meanwhile, Whiteside's spinster assistant Maggie Cutler finds herself attracted to local newspaperman Bert Jefferson. When she reads Bert's play, she is so impressed she asks Whiteside to show it to his contacts, and then announces she will quit his employment and marry Bert. However, her boss is loath to lose such an efficient aide and does his best to sabotage the blossoming romance...
