　　Returning from vacation, the Miller family find their home has been broken into. After cleaning up the mess they continue with their lives, shaking off the feeling of being violated. But little do they know the nightmare has just begun.

　　十七世纪的路易十四时代，在肮脏混乱小镇上的少女玛奇丝（苏菲•玛索 Sophie Marceau 饰）以一曲美丽的舞蹈打动了来此演出的莫里哀剧团，玛奇丝跟着剧团来到了巴黎，开始做起了绝世名伶的美梦。然而演员路并不像她想象的顺利，她大多时候只能出演木讷愚蠢的哑人，并且要靠出卖身体的代价来换取演出的机会。诗人拉辛（兰伯特•威尔逊 Lambert Wilson 饰）与宫廷贵族在看戏时看中了玛奇丝，她因此获得了去为路易十四国王表演的机会。并由此与拉辛相识，两人逐渐产生了感情。玛奇丝开始在剧团和拉辛之间徘徊不断，最终决定出演了拉辛的悲剧，并且大获成功，也获得了国王的青睐。而再次演出时她却抱病昏倒，代替她演出的侍女不但打破了她与拉辛之间关于剧目角色的约定，更让她怀疑自己的价值……

　　The main character is Dr. Max Holst, a successful neurosurgeon. One day an intense little man named Steinmetz shows up, who has the real ability to create objects out of thin air, using only his mind. As no one believes him at first, he is held at a ward for mental patients, but manifests the key to his door and escapes. As he has a special interest in Dr. Holst, Steinmetz subsequently invites Holst to his large mansion, which is full of expensive paintings and sculptures, and proves to him that he can in fact materialise objects. Steinmetz’s abilities are evolving by leaps and bounds, and is progressing from being able to create objects only to being able to create living things. His ultimate ambition is to be able to create a human being. He tells Dr. Holst that if he will only perform a certain brain operation on him, Steinmetz will become able to attain his goal. He’s got all the necessary equipment set up in his basement. Dr. Holst, however, is too spooked by the whole thing to agree to this mad scheme, and refuses. Steinmetz then sets about manipulating Holst’s life, to pressure him into performing the operation. By then Steinmetz has become able to create a temporary human being, and in the hope that he can perhaps make his own creation perform the operation, he manifests a doppelganger of Dr. Holst. This double proceeds to take over Dr. Holst’s life, creating chaos for him professionally and personally. And then Dr. Holst starts fighting back. The ending has the dual virtue of being both unexpected and satisfying.

　　A wealthy young man is conned into staging a fake kidnapping in order to be a hero and win the affection of a girl he's madly in love with. But when one of the hired kidnappers is accidentally killed during the charade, he's forced to actually save her life while not revealing that it's been a ruse all along.

　　An old woman, Filomena, is hurried into the emergency room. The young man, who brought her, Matias, is very nervous. The nurses were drawn to him as he’s very good-looking. They think he’s her grandson. Filomena’s condition has stabilized but she needs further tests. At night, Matias visits her and Luna, the nurse on duty, is touched at how warm and close Matias is to the lady. Then Luna finds out something surprising yet heartbreaking-Filomena and Matias are lovers. Matias is a vampire whom Filomena when she was young. Their love was uncontrollable. Matias promised Filomena that he will not give her the curse of being a vampire- even if Filomena wants to be with him forever. 　　中年男子杉山正平（役所广司饰）是名普通的上班族，他工作认真，事业有成，却发觉朝九晚五的生活空虚无味。一天下班，疲劳的杉山偶然透过车窗看到车站对面，一家贴有“岸川舞蹈学校”字样的楼房窗旁，有一位相貌清秀女子的身影，看着那女子凝望远方，杉山被她那寂寞的表情所深深地吸引。
　　数日之后，抑制不住好奇心的杉山走进了这家舞蹈学校，开始学习交谊舞。他所看到的那个女子正是这个舞蹈教室的老师岸川舞（草刈民代饰）。杉山渐渐地真心喜欢上了跳舞，一样享受舞蹈带来的快乐还有青木（竹中直人饰）等人。他们在指导下进行舞蹈大会前的特训，而舞老师也再次燃起对舞蹈的热爱……
