　　Serinda Swan将饰演剧名角色Jenny Cooper，一个有勇气有决心、但情感脆弱的验尸官，对真相有着锲而不舍的精神。Jenny曾经是一名急诊医生，最近刚刚丧夫，独自一人带着孩子；挚爱的离世打开了与死亡的原初关联，将她的过去的秘密紧密相连。她爱自己的儿子超过爱生活，在尽力抚养他的同时也要照顾自己。
