凯瑟琳·海格尔(《实习医生格蕾》《国事家事》)加盟《金装律师》第8季，担任常驻演员，与加布里埃尔·马赫特上演对手戏。此前该剧已宣布准王妃梅根·马克尔和小麦帕特里克·J·亚当斯都不会回归。海格尔将饰演Samantha Wheeler，是Pearson Specter Litt律师事务所的新合伙人，她才华横溢，将挑战现状，要么成为该公司最大的盟友，要么成为最强大的敌人。 剧情的基调也会发生改变，此前主要聚焦马赫特饰演的Harvey Specter和亚当斯饰演的Mike Ross之间的男性关系，现在将用其他元素替代。原卡司莎拉·拉弗提、里克·霍夫曼等回归，最新一季加入成为常规主演的杜勒·希尔也会回归。第8季将于4月多伦多开拍，预计年末播出。
