　　由于身体的原因，晨曦（闫学晶 饰）无法生养自己的孩子，她选择放弃了婚姻，离婚后收养了三个女儿唐果儿（刘丛丹 饰）、方小菲（林源 饰）和张天爱（周韵茹 饰）。在晨曦的精心照料之下，三个姑娘长大了，并且找到了属于她们的幸福。
　　唐果儿即将和未婚夫邂逅步入婚姻的殿堂，可就在这个节骨眼上，唐果儿的生母忽然现身，希望唐果儿能够陪伴自己度过生命最后的时光。不仅如此，方小菲的公公吴东（张岩 饰）竟然正是晨曦的前夫。晨曦遇见了名为张大哲（张磊 饰）的男子，以为自己终于找到了人生的幸福。谁知道张大哲的女儿正是张天爱，后者无法接受养母和父亲的这段感情。

　　1945年抗日战争胜利，东北八路军部队 俘获了日本关东军第二飞行总队第四练 成飞行队的全部人员。在东总和东北局 领导及航空队队长陆好天的不懈努力 下，终于感动了这支日军教官队伍，使 他们留下成为第一代共产党飞行员的教 官。教官队伍还是延安航空小组、国民 党起义人员、新疆航空队被捕释放人员 等。这样一个多方力量汇集一起队伍， 在缺少飞机、燃油，不断躲避国民党军 的进攻和追击，克服种种生活困难的战 争环境下，培养出了新中国的第一批飞 行员。

　　故事发生在具有重要历史意义的年份——1949年。是年，中国共产党以解放全中国为口号，对疲态尽显的国民党进行摧枯拉朽的扫荡。而国民党一方困兽犹斗，露出獠牙做出了疯狂而血腥的反扑。南方要地江都，敌我双方明争暗斗，血光四溅。国民党试图推进“天火”计划，以阻截共军渡江的步伐。看似玩世不恭的公子哥叶声（刘钧 饰）实则是我党的一名地下党员，他手眼通天，甚至和国民党高官都有联系。在此期间，名叫邓凯（于震 饰）的神秘男子出现在江都。他既是国民党官员，又是中共地下党员。叶声与特别情报小组组长陈如（颜丹晨 饰）都对此人防范有加。而邓凯扑朔迷离的身份也关系着战局的走向！
