简介：故事讲述一对新婚恩爱的夫妻陈星和徐明皓，原是话剧演员的陈星借调到电视台，她的亮相极为成功，很受观众好评，电视台决定考虑将她正式调入，唯一条件是暂时不要其生孩子，而陈星丈夫徐明皓面对妻子的光环颇感失落。在陈星鼓励下，他和朋友创办了一家广告公司，为拉住大客户，徐希望妻子与陈星是恋人的沈子强拉关系，使其感情上受到震动。在作一期扫黄节目时，陈星发现自己怀孕了，徐明皓却忙自己的事，对此事不太关心。并劝陈回到话剧团，并自行去告诉台领导。陈星对胎儿越来越寄予厚望，不料胎死腹中。查出是母体带梅毒。徐明皓得知后提出离婚，陈星失去孩子，失去工作，失去丈夫，并为社会舆论压迫，痛苦之中选择了自杀，被沈子强所救。并查出陈星患的是胎传梅毒，于是唤起陈星查明生母的身世，了解到旧社会女性所受的苦难，决定作一期自己身世背景的《女性风景》节目，把误入歧途的女孩拉回到阳光下，作健康自立的女性。
