　　邪王石之轩武功盖世，但他害怕自己的一身邪恶武功将来为祸人间，于是将自己和封存住巨大功力的邪帝舍利一起冰封在邪王墓里面。进入邪王墓的唯一钥匙就是记载着上乘武功的秘笈《长生诀》，因此江湖上人人都想得到它，但它已经失落于江湖多年，无人得知它的去向。另一方面，杨州城的两个自幼相依为命的孤儿寇仲（林峰 饰）和徐子陵（吴卓羲 饰）虽然一直在干些小偷小摸维持生计，但二人天资过人，都希望学成一身好武功将来出人投地，于是想拜当地的石龙道长为师。岂料去找石龙的时候，发现石龙正与一武功高强的女子傅君婥相斗。原来石龙从傅君婥身上盗走了江湖上人人欲得之的《长生诀》。一番恶斗后，傅君婥取回了《长生诀》，但也受了重伤，寇仲、徐子陵和她一起逃走。这时，朝廷的禁卫军总共宇文化及率领一干人等前来抢《长生诀》，傅君婥知道三人再一起走的话肯定都跑不掉了，于是将《长生诀》交给寇仲二人保管，然后她独自引开追兵。寇仲、徐子陵这对自称的杨州双龙自此开始了他们的江湖之旅。

　　本剧改编自金庸的武侠小说《雪山飞狐》，李自成亡国后，他旗下的四大侍卫——胡、苗、范、田家开始了夺宝之争，后来演化成四家的世代为仇。呼家后人胡一刀（黄日华 饰）想要找其余三家和化解先前的误会，但却因田家后人田归农（张兆辉 饰）暗中陷害误丧于苗家后人苗人凤（尹扬明 饰）之手，其妻子郎剑秋（邵美琪 饰）也没能幸免于难，剑秋把独生子胡斐（陈锦鸿 饰）托给了仆人平四（廖启智 饰）照料。长大后的胡斐一心想要为父母报仇，并误会了苗人凤是罪魁祸首，当平四带着胡斐一路追寻苗人凤的踪迹时，他遇上了女扮男装的幺一一（刘晓彤 饰），邂逅了侠女聂桑青（滕丽名 饰），但她却对红花会舵主陈家洛（魏俊杰 饰）心有所属。随后胡斐又与苗人凤之女苗若兰（佘诗曼 饰）相识相知，可无奈江湖险恶，几个年轻人背负着上一辈的恩怨自己也深陷其中。
　　不同于其它改编自《雪山飞狐》的作品，本剧没有太多涉及到《飞狐外传》的内容，甚至没有出现程灵素、袁紫衣等经典书中人物。
