上海少年杨一杉，为了追求独立生活，满怀热情远赴东北求学，与东北女孩赵多多不打不相识。与此同时把一杉从小带大的姑妈不放心侄子来陪读，多爸赵解放成了她的房东。多多一心想撮合两个长辈，于是带领一杉站在同一“战线”。在众人推动下，姑妈孤独了多年的心被善良真诚的赵解放融化着，而两个年轻人也从互相看不顺眼，到对彼此动心，成了一对欢喜冤家。
