简介:

 根据吴祖光话剧《正气歌》改编。 宋度宗年间, 元兵围攻襄阳城. 右丞相贾似道隐瞒战情, 宋将吕文焕被迫独力守城, 长达三年之久. 此事终为度宗得悉, 秘书监文天祥奏请皇上将贾似道斩首. 贾似道虚报战况, 反告文天祥诽谤之罪. 文天祥决意暂且归隐, 假装沉迷歌姬, 暗中联合有志之士共商国策. 未几, 吕文焕向元兵投降. 贾似道亲率宋师迎敌, 结果战败, 被贬高州. 文天祥旋即获封为右丞相, 奉召领兵出征, 却被伯颜掳获. 伯颜劝天祥投降, 天祥不允, 终被伯颜押返北京. 幸途中天祥得船夫余元庆舍命相助, 方能逃回真州. 期间, 文天祥遭人诬蔑为元人内奸, 被迫转往温州. 文天祥上奏益广二王, 得以洗脱罪名, 再次统领宋师, 大败元军, 并获封为信国公. 最后, 文天祥与元兵决战于五坡岭, 不幸又遭伯颜俘虏. 文天祥被囚三年, 宁死不降, 最终被元世祖下令处斩.

简介:

大学教授萧元熙与妻子决裂后,决心要把小女佣余珍改造成为自己理想的妻子。余珍原是个出身低微的小大姐,深受封建思想和旧习惯的束缚。萧元熙不厌其烦,从思想修养到待人处事,为她设计了一整套的改造方案。经过一段时间的改造,余珍果然摆脱了旧的束缚,从对妇女地位的认识到谈吐举止,都能 达到现代妇女的水准。萧元熙非常满意自己创造的奇迹,与余珍结成了夫妻,过上了称心满意的小家庭生活。但好景不长,有了新思想的余珍,在生活中要求有更多的独立自主,引起萧元熙的烦恼。一二八事变后,余珍因父兄遇难,毅然投身抗日救亡运动,但得不到萧元熙的理解。萧元熙迫不及待地将余珍关在家中,断绝她与妇女抗日运动的联系。几年后,余珍生下一子,萧元熙憧憬重新过上理想的家庭生活时,八一三上海抗战爆发。他把余珍母子托给一位妇女运动者,自己偕老友同去汉口做动员民众抗战的工作。于是余珍再度参加抗日救亡活动,服务于难民救援工作。萧元熙到达汉口后,担任动员委员会委员,电召余珍离沪前往。不料余珍于途中遇敌机轰炸,幼子惨死,悲痛之余,决心投身到更广大的争取自由的战场。当萧元熙在码头迎接她时,意外地发现理想的妻子已是一个女兵。由于夫妻俩志趣各异,一个向往舒适生活,一个追求光明前途,思想感情上无法协调,促使余珍悄然出走。这时,萧元熙终于怀疑,进而悔恨自己改造妇女的理想。不久,武汉失守,萧元熙流亡桂林,重执教鞭,并一反往昔妇女解放的论调,在报上撰文鼓吹把妇女关入家门。敌军进逼桂林,落魄的萧元熙随着难民队伍通过封锁线时,意外地与护送难民的战地工作队队员余珍相遇,发现她已变成另一种新型的人,无奈萧元熙只能目送她奔向遥远广阔的前程。

简介:Somewhere in the remote region, the war ends. In the midst of ruined cities and houses in the streets, in rural hamlets, everywhere where people still live, are children who have lost their homes and parents. Abandoned, hungry, and in rags, defenseless and humiliated, they wander through the world. Hunger drives them. Little streams of orphans merge into a river which rushes forward and submerges everything in its path. The children do not know any feeling; they know only the world of their enemies. They fight, steal, struggle for a mouthful of food, and violence is merely a means to get it. A gang led by Cahoun finds a refuge in an abandoned castle and encounters an old composer who has voluntarily retired into solitude from a world of hatred, treason, and crime. How can they find a common ground, how can they become mutual friends The castle becomes their hiding place but possibly it will also be their first home which they may organize and must defend. But even for this, the price will be very high.  To this simple story, the journalist, writer, poet, scriptwriter, movie director, and film theoretician Béla Balázs applied many years of experience. He and the director Géza Radványi created a work which opened a new postwar chapter in Hungarian film. Surprisingly, this film has not lost any of its impact over the years, especially on a profound philosophical level. That is to say, it is not merely a movie about war; it is not important in what location and in what period of time it takes place. It is a story outside of time about the joyless fate of children who pay dearly for the cruel war games of adults.  At the time it was premiered, the movie was enthusiastically received by the critics. The main roles were taken by streetwise boys of a children's group who created their roles improvisationally in close contact with a few professional actors, and in the children's acting their own fresh experience of war's turmoil appears to be reflected. At the same time, their performance fits admirably into the mosaic of a very complex movie language. Balázs's influence revealed itself, above all, in the introductory sequences an air raid on an amusement park, seen in a montage of dramatic situations evoking the last spasms of war, where, undoubtedly, we discern the influence of classical Soviet cinematography. Shooting, the boy's escape, the locomotive's wheels, the shadows of soldiers with submachine guns, the sound of a whistle—the images are linked together in abrupt sequences in which varying shots and expressive sharp sounds are emphasized. A perfectly planned screenplay avoided all elements of sentimentality, time-worn stereotypes of wronged children, romanticism and cheap simplification. The authors succeeded in bridging the perilous dramatic abyss of the metamorphosis of a children's community. Their telling of the story (the scene of pillaging, the assault on the castle, etc) independently introduced some neorealist elements which, at that time, were being propagated in Italy by De Sica, Rossellini, and other film artists. The rebukes of contemporary critics, who called attention to formalism for its own sake have been forgotten. The masterly art of cameraman Barnabás Hegyi gives vitality to the poetic images. His angle shots of the children, his composition of scenes in the castle interior, are a living document of the times, and underline the atmosphere and the characters of the protagonists. The success of the picture was also enhanced by the musical art of composer Dénes Buday who, in tense situations, inserted the theme of the Marseilaise into the movie's structure, as a motive of community unification, as an expression of friendship and the possibility of understanding.  Valahol Europaban is the first significant postwar Hungarian film. It originated in a relaxed atmosphere, replete with joy and euphoria, and it includes these elements in order to demonstrate the strength of humanism, tolerance, and friendship. It represents a general condemnation of war anywhere in the world, in any form.
